To be eligible, projects must have been completed within the past two years and carried out by, or under the supervision of, a member of either association. Nominees must be either residents of BC or work for a BC-based company, or the work must have been carried out in British Columbia. A management, academic or research contribution, or the life work of an individual, may also be considered by the award selection committee.

Nominations may be received from any member of either association. They must be submitted on the prescribed form and contain the names and signatures of three registered members of either association, accompanied by a one-page statement outlining the reasons for the nomination along with supporting information such as CVs, project outlines, letters of reference and news clippings.

Selection Committee
The award selection committee shall consist of three individuals: one member from each association plus a third member, selected by and drawn from the association presenting the award.

If in a given year a suitable candidate is not nominated, the award will not be presented that year. The rotation between the associations will not be altered if this occurs.

Presentation of the Award
APEGBC shall present the award for the even numbered years such as the presentation to the 2006 recipient. As APEGBC’s AGM is held normally in October of each year, the presentation shall be made in the fall in the year following. For example, the 2006 recipient was presented with the award in October 2007.

ABCFP shall present the award for the odd-numbered years such as the presentation to the 2007 recipient. As ABCFP’s AGM is held normally in the spring, the 2007 recipient shall be presented the award in the spring of 2008.
