The DEGIFS Executive is looking forward to this year's APEGBC AGM. Starting on Wednesday, the DEGIFS sessions starts with a Field Trip lead by Don Dobson into the Chase Creek Watershed starting at 8:30am. This field trip will explore the numerous issues facing Chase Creek beginning in the upper watershed and culminating at the mouth. Discussions will touch on the implications of the current mountain pine beetle infestation with regards to watershed hydrology, slope stability and downstream development. (7.5 PDH – Informal)
Thursday starts the technical sessions with the DEGIFS AGM running from 3:30 to 4:45pm. Topics will include the results of the recent vote on expanding into other resource centers and the introduction of the new executive members.
Professional development sessions continue on Friday. Friday night includes the President's Gala Awards followed by APEGBC's AGM on Saturday.
